Thrive Integrative Health was founded in 2016 with the mission to provide the highest-level of comprehensive care. Our multidisciplinary clinic offers both Eastern and Western medicine, and is one of the few truly integrative medicine practices on Seattle’s Eastside.
Thrive Integrative Health began as an acupuncture and East Asian medicine herbal clinic called “Thrive Acupuncture and Wellness.” Principal provider Gracia Tharp’s patients expressed an on-going need for additional treatments and coordination of care not available in the local community.
To ensure top quality referrals and continuity in care, Thrive Acupuncture and Wellness began including these services—thus creating the opportunity to expand in space, increase staff and evolve into Thrive Integrative Health. Today, the committed patients and inspired providers of Thrive Integrative Health continue the partnership in building a successful clinic for community residents.

Gracia Tharp and Carsten Rode met at Bastyr University during their Master’s education and training. They quickly realized their shared interest in acupuncture, health and wellness. Upon graduation, they saw the need for an integrative clinic that truly practiced patient driven care. Together, they formed a collaborative environment with a variety of modalities and practitioners, with the focus of creating a place where patients could receive well-coordinated, comprehensive care. In addition to running Thrive, Gracia and Carsten both have a passion for teaching and dedicating their time to mentoring new practitioners.

Cascade Integrative Medicine
To stay true to Thrive’s mission of providing comprehensive care to our patients we have partnered with some of the Eastside’s most highly regarded medical providers: Cascade Integrative Medicine (CIM). Cascade Integrative Medicine is composed of a team of medical doctors, naturopathic doctors and certified clinical nutritionist. CIM offers an extensive collection of Western herbs and nutraceutical-grade vitamins, supplements complete with an online dispensary. Together, as a team, we can offer both Western and Eastern supplements on-site.
We came about this decision to partner with Cascade Integrative Medicine to allow for the best patient care. Instead of you having to navigate through referrals and transferring records between each of your providers, we are offering a one-stop-clinic. This will condense your healthcare into one cohesive team. We find, as providers, this allows for the most successful treatment and the best outcome.
